Perfecciona tu técnica y ubicación: porteros más confiables, rápidos y acertados en cada acción.
Aerial blocking, frontal blocking and repositioning for shooting drill
- Front Air Block to a Familiar Side:
The drill begins with the goalkeeper performing a front air block. The cross or aerial pass will be directed to a previously known side by the goalkeeper, who must anticipate, jump, and catch the ball in the air, ensuring control during landing. It is essential that the goalkeeper maintain good jumping technique and a stable landing. - Positioning for a frontal block:
After securing the aerial block, the goalkeeper will quickly position himself to face a frontal shot taken by a teammate. The goalkeeper must be prepared to block the shot with proper technique, ensuring he covers the angles well and controls the ball effectively. - Coach Repositioning and Shooting:
After completing the front block, the goalkeeper will quickly and effectively reposition themselves in the goal. The coach will then shoot from a different position, requiring a quick reaction and a technical save from the goalkeeper. The emphasis in this phase is on quickly adjusting position and being able to react to the shot.
Lateral blocking and repositioning exercise
- Side block to familiar side: The goalkeeper starts in the center of the goal and moves to a familiar side to perform a safe side block, ensuring stability in the intervention.
- Opposite Side Lateral Block: After the first block, the goalkeeper executes a second lateral block to the opposite side, working both sides to improve symmetry and control.
- Moving and Repositioning: After passing the ball to a teammate, the goalkeeper moves laterally to touch a cone and quickly returns to the center of the goal.
- Shot reception: Once repositioned, the goalkeeper receives a shot from the teammate who received the previous ball, working on his precision and technique in frontal blocking in a direct shot situation.
Positioning exercise, blocking at the short stick and lateral fall
- Front-to-Back Release and Positioning Shift: The drill begins with the goalkeeper performing a short front-to-back release from the goal. When the teammate in front of him passes the ball to the coach, the goalkeeper quickly shifts to position himself correctly in the goal, keeping his eyes on the ball.
- Near post block: Once well positioned, the coach takes a shot at the near post, and the goalkeeper must execute a firm block ensuring complete control of the ball.
- Drop Positioning: After the block, the goalkeeper moves towards the near post to intercept a back pass from a second teammate, performing a low drop to block the ball and ensure a clean intervention.
Lateral coordination, falling and displacement exercise
- Ladder Lateral Coordination: The drill begins with the goalkeeper performing lateral coordination on an agility ladder, working on quickness and control in footwork. The goalkeeper must maintain a stable and dynamic stance while advancing up the ladder.
- Cone Roundup with Correct Body Position: After completing the ladder sequence, the goalkeeper rounds a cone, ensuring proper body position and facing downfield, with an emphasis on control and mobility.
- Side drop to the known side: After going around the cone, a teammate throws a ball to the known side, and the goalkeeper must perform a controlled side drop to block the ball, ensuring correct technique in the intervention.
- Moving and Receiving the Shot: After the goalkeeper falls, he repositions himself on the goalpost. When his teammate sends the ball to the coach, the goalkeeper must move quickly to position himself correctly and stop the ball that the coach will throw toward him.
