Ejercicios de caídas laterales para porteros (Parte 2)
Perfecciona tus caídas laterales: agilidad, seguridad y control para porteros más confiables.
Lateral drop and return exercise with the foot
- Low lateral exit and drop: The drill begins with the goalkeeper making a small exit towards the ball and executing a low lateral drop towards the known side to intercept the shot.
- Repositioning and Returning with the Foot: After the initial drop, the goalkeeper quickly returns to the initial drop position. From there, he or she makes a short break and first returns a low pass sent by the coach, using his or her foot for a controlled and accurate return.
- Side-dive drop: To finish the exercise, the goalkeeper must position himself to receive a ball thrown by a teammate and perform a side-dive drop, seeking to cover the maximum area of the goal with technique and control.
Exit, retreat and lateral falls exercise
- Exit to the cone:
The drill begins with the goalkeeper performing a quick front exit toward a cone located in front of their starting position. The objective is for the goalkeeper to work on speed and positioning when advancing toward the ball. - Withdrawal:
After reaching the cone, the goalkeeper will make a quick withdrawal, returning to his initial position, preparing his body for the next action. - Low Side Drop:
At the end of the retreat, the coach will throw a low ball to one side, and the goalkeeper must perform a low side drop to block the ball with control, paying attention to the proper technique to avoid leaving rebounds. - Diving Block to the Opposite Side:
After the low drop, the goalkeeper will reposition himself and make a diving block to the opposite side, intercepting another ball thrown by the coach. This movement should aim for maximum extension and effectiveness in covering the space.
Lateral drop and blocking exercise in stretch
- Side Drop:
The drill begins with the goalkeeper in position inside the goal. A teammate will throw a low ball to one side, and the goalkeeper must perform a side drop to safely block the ball, being careful not to allow any rebound. - Moving between cones:
After making the lateral drop, the goalkeeper will quickly get up and move laterally between the cones, maintaining orientation towards the ball and the game at all times. - Diving Block:
The coach will send a ball from a diagonal position, and the goalkeeper must make a lateral stretch to block the aerial shot, maximizing his reach and control in the block.
Falling and positioning technique exercise
- Travel and stretch to the far post: The drill begins with the goalkeeper quickly moving around the outside of a cone placed outside the goal, simulating a reaction to a change of direction. Upon completing the movement, he or she must stretch toward the far post to intercept a shot aimed at that side.
- Side drop to familiar side: After the stretch, the goalkeeper returns to his position in the goal to receive a low shot on the familiar side. In this case, he executes a side drop to block the ball in a controlled and effective manner.
- Return and Repositioning: After returning the ball to the coach, the goalkeeper must quickly reposition himself in the center of the goal, preparing for an additional finish by the coach, simulating an unexpected play, and practicing his ability to respond in high-pressure situations.
