Lateral coordination and ball reception exercise

  1. Lateral Coordination on the Ladder and Frontal Stop: The drill begins with the goalkeeper moving laterally within the ladder. At the end, they must make a frontal stop when the coach sends the ball, making sure they are well positioned to receive it.
  2. Returning the ball and running towards the cone: After returning the ball, the goalkeeper makes a frontal run towards the cone, working on his speed and explosiveness.
  3. Receiving the ball from a teammate: Upon reaching the cone, the goalkeeper receives a pass from his teammate, focusing on receiving technique and maintaining control of the ball.

Jumping, front stop and lateral movement exercise

  1. Low Hurdle Jumps and Front Save: The goalkeeper begins the drill by performing three quick jumps over low hurdles. These jumps are intended to improve explosiveness and agility. After the last jump, the goalkeeper must make a front save when the coach sends a ball to him, ensuring he maintains control and is in the proper position to intercept it.
  2. Ball Return and Lateral Movement: Once the goalkeeper has stopped the ball, he accurately returns it to the coach. He then quickly moves laterally to the cone, working on his agility and ability to change direction quickly.
  3. Front-to-front ball stop from teammate: Upon reaching the cone, the goalkeeper prepares to receive a pass from his teammate, making a new front-to-front stop with the same technique, making sure to maintain control of the ball and maintain an adequate posture to respond quickly to possible rebounds.

Jumping and front stop exercise

  1. Low Hurdle Jumps and Front Stop: The goalkeeper begins the drill with three jumps or double supports over low hurdles, working on explosiveness and body control. Upon completion, he quickly positions himself to make a front stop on the ball thrown by the coach, focusing on precise and controlled technique to efficiently stop the ball.

Front jump, displacement and front stop exercise

  1. Front Jump and Lateral Shift: The drill begins with a front jump over a low hurdle, developing explosiveness and strength. Upon completing the jump, the goalkeeper should move laterally, passing outside the cone, focusing on maintaining agile and controlled movement.
  2. Sequence repeated at each hurdle: The goalkeeper repeats the same jumping and lateral movement action until completing the course, prioritizing technique and fluidity in movements.
  3. Head-on save from the coach's ball: After clearing the last hurdle, the goalkeeper positions himself to make a precise head-on save, stopping the coach's ball. This final move focuses on ball control and goalkeeper stability.
